ABOUT ME

Hello everyone my name is Shelly,

I was born and raised in beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia where I loved spending my time exploring the Fortress of Louisbourg, Cabot Trail and especially listening to the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2005 I made the decision to broaden my experiences and moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario.

I started my first job as a tour guide which allowed me to experience Niagara Falls beautiful attractions like the Horseshoe Falls, Dufferin Islands, Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Conservatory. This also allowed me to experience other breathtaking attractions and nature spots across the Niagara Region which are not so well known.  But even with all this amazing wonder, my favorite experiences was and continues to be meeting and talking up a storm with people, I just love putting a smile on people’s faces (something I kept with me growing up in Cape Breton).

It was at this point in my life I started my photography journey where I started taking photos of butterflies at the Niagara Falls Butterfly Conservatory and flowers at the Botanical Gardens. This quickly grew into photo shoots of scenery art like the tiny waterfalls hidden at Niagara Falls Dufferin Island and intimate spots of the Oakes Garden Theatre.

It wasn’t until I did my first wedding photography session that I knew photography was what I wanted to do professionally and since then I’ve blossomed into engagement photos, family/single portraits and especially child and infant photography.

Taking photos of people at that perfect moment of their life; so they can always look at it and remember that moment and smile.
